Saddle Making 101

Shawn is working with a saddle maker and doing an apprentice saddle making school. He is learning how to build his own custom made saddle. He is doing really well. It's amazing the time and skill it takes to put one of these together. They received a grant from a Folk art school that is paying for all the leather etc. it also pays the saddle maker to teach Shawn. They have had a great time and have become great friends too. I will keep you posted as he gets more done.

Got Mud?

Outside of Shawn's Leather shop
We will have wood on it when it gets done.
The drywall guy's were back again today to put the finishing coat of mud on the walls for Shawn's leather shop. It's coming along pretty good- We need to decide what color to do the walls-

My sister and I spent the day together yesterday-It was so fun!! We went down to tour the new Draper Temple. WOW pretty much is all I can say. It was amazing--- The tour was so organized it was unbelievable. I was so grateful that I had the opportunity to see this. It was also nice that she has been through the temple and could answer a few questions. After that we went shopping and then finished it off with a fabulous lunch at the cheesecake factory. I personally can't think of a better way to spend a Thursday afternoon. Thanks Sis for going! I LOVE you Ü

Crafty Cub Scouts

This week for Cub Scouts we had the boys make their family a Valentine. They really did a good job. I was pretty happy with the way they turned out. They each had to tell there parents what they loved about them before they gave it to them!! Trying to teach they little fellers while they are still young!!!
