A Day At The Zoo

We decide we had been in the house way to much these days and when we finally seen the "SUNSHINE" today we headed out to the Hogle Zoo. It was a perfect day to be out and about, the weather was fantastic and the boys were great sports too.
(I had to talk them into going to the zoo with me)
Kyle and the turkey he never got!
When I seen this turkey I just had to get a picture of Kyle with it! He hunted for weeks this spring and never did get one!
Did not take us very long before these two needed more fuel!
Just a little bit of advice.... Stop and have lunch before you go to the Zoo. The food was pretty good but man was it expensive. (our $30.00 hamburger and fries)
When I think of the Zoo, I always remember this fountain. It was fun to see all the things I remember seeing as a child. No matter what this dude would not look at us. We had such a fun day together and I am so thankful my boys still like to go and do fun things with their mama!

Fremont Jr. Lacrosse

Kyle #42
Kolt #3
The boys really wanted to play Lacrosse this year rather than baseball so we decided to go ahead and give it a try and they totally LOVE it! It was a little bit expensive to get them both ready but the great times and watching them love the sport definitely makes it all worth while. Kolt plays on the 5/6 grade team and Kyle plays on the 7/8th grade team. They practice 3 nights a week from 5 pm to about 7:30 p.m. and then they each have 2 gamed on Saturdays. They will definitely be in shape for hunting season this year! It was really fun for them because their cousin Pacen also plays!

The Exterminators

Kyle, Kolt and my brother in law scoping out the problem. My sister was in charge of banging on the walls to scare them out!
Kyle patiently waiting for the perfect shot.
The victim.
We received a call from my brother in law that he needed the boys to help him with a little project- well it turns out his barn was full of Racoons. We loaded up the pellet guns and headed out with my two handy exterminators. A few hours later the problem was solved. They ended up getting five of those furry rascals out of the barn.

The Perfect Gift

My sister is so thoughtful and she knows me so well. For Mother's Day she has started a tradition that she invites us over for a wonderful BBQ. She does the whole sha bang! Dinner, Dessert, Decorations and Fabulous gifts!! She will not let us bring anything or even help for that matter. This year we had steak, baked potato, salad, french bread and two kinds of "homemade pie" She even buys each of us our favorite drink! I just love how she puts so much thought and time into it to make this day special for me. It really makes the day nice since we don't have our mom to celebrate it with us. This year she gave me this FANTASTIC cookbook. I just LOVE it!! I have already tried a few recipes and they have turned out fantastic!! One thing I really like about it is that it does not call for a bunch of weird ingredients and every single recipe has a picture! If you don't already have it I would definitely recommend it!
