It's almost done!

Last week Shawn was able to put the first coat of oil on his saddle. He still has a few more steps and few little details to finish it and it will be all done. He has done an amazing job!

Saddle Update

It's getting there! Shawn is almost done with his saddle. He has had so much fun working with Marty and has really established a great friendship too! He has been driving to Wellsville a few nights a month and working for just a few hours on it. He has learned so much and can't wait to start on another one here at home.

He works hard for his money!

I am so proud of Kyle, He has learned a very valuable lesson this summer... Hard work really does payoff Ü He has been earning $20.00 a week mowing my sisters lawn and my dad's lawn this summer. He has been saving his money along with his allowance and has earned enough to buy a new bike! Not just a cheap bike, a $300.00 mountain bike! Way to go Kyle, Hard work really does payoff eventually! I hope you enjoy your new bike- Love ya.

Just Because.....

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? I have been an emotional mess lately and been kinda feeling sorry for my self. Today, Shawn called me at work and I just started to cry. I wish those kinds of things could take place at home but sometimes the faucet turns on and there is no stopping it. I got it all out and gathered myself together and was ready to get back to working when I got an instant message saying there was a delivery at the front desk for me. As I walked down the stairs I was thinking that maybe she had me mixed up with someone else so I made sure to read the envelope first and sure enough it was a special delivery just for me!! Shawn has gotten alot better in his older years with the just because gifts! I think it helps when he has the boys with him because every once in a while they talk him into bringing me home my favorite brand of candle from Smith & Edwards. When the boys seen the flowers tonight they said:
Kolt: Who's are they?
Me: There mine
Kolt: Who gave them to you?
Me: Dad
Kolt: Why would he want to do that?
Then when Kyle seen them he said, WOW Mom I didn't think dad would even think to do that!
Thanks Shawn for sticking with me and getting me through a rough week! The flowers are gorgeous!

In Loving Memory Of My "MOM"

11 Years ago to day my whole world changed. It was the day we lost my mom. For some people it was just another day-August 6th. As for me, August 6th will be a day I will never forget. It does get easier as time goes by but the tears still fall. I think what I miss most is all the things I miss out on now. I wish she could have been here to see my boys grow, I know she would be so proud of them. I find myself trying to do some of the things that she always did for me. I will share a few memories I have with her!
**I remember the time she super glued both of her thumbs to my hat band. She was getting us ready for a Queen contest and she decided to add a little flower to my hat band at the last minute and she accidentally glued both thumbs to it.
**I remember the evening drives we would go on. We would stop in at Zeb's and get a mini ham & pineapple pizza and small Zeb's salad to share, then we would go for a ride out in the country.
**I remember when she would get mad at my dad she would tell him to go climb a slippery weed!
**I remember her making homemade honey wheat bread and raspberry jam. She would make a bunch and have me and my sister take it to the neighbors right out of the oven - Just because.
**I remember being able to hear her cheering us on while we were at the rodeo doing the barrels. You could always here her voice in the crowd!
I hope you have enjoyed going down memory lane with me and I hope each and everyone of you that still has a mom out there to call her today and tell her how much you love her and appreciate her because you just never know when her time will come.

While the BOYS are away- MOM gets to play Ü

Shawn took the boys packing in the Uintahs with the horses so my sister and I decided it was a good day to go play! We started out at the bead shop and two hours later we had a bag full of treasures! Then it was off to lunch and the mall. We stopped in @ Macy's and I got my make up done with M.A.C. cosmetics! After that we went to the beauty supply store and several other craft stores. We went back to her house and she helped me make a really cute watch! Last weekend we had bought a cute charm necklace at a boutique and so we sat down and made a whole bunch of new charms for it! Next time you see me you will have to check out my new BLING-BLING! My cute watch- I love it! Charm necklace I have one in just about every color now- Even Valentines, 4th of July & Christmas!
See what I mean!
Thanks Sis for the fun day!
