Just another Monday!

Just another Monday at the Douglas home- When I came home tonight the house was empty and this is what I found when I went looking outside!Kolt helping Shawn exercise horses. Shawn multi-tasking WOW (Men can do this?) irrigating and riding horses at the same time- Pretty impressive don't ya think! ha-ha Kyle mowing the lawn Ü

As for me... I went back inside the house to enjoy peace and quite and watch the Bachelorette finale!!! Maybe it was not such a bad day after all.

Moon Lake

We loaded up and headed out for 9 full days of family fun! Our first stop was Moon lake- I had never been there so it was fun to go somewhere new. It was beautiful, nice sunny & warm, and we caught lots of fish. The campground was nestled in a bunch of pine trees that smelled so good! This is how we roll----My little hotel on wheels! The boys caught over 20 little ground squirrels- They were cute but also little pests. They chewed a whole in my portable garbage can. So the boys decided they would take action- They started catching, marking them with a sharpie marker (to see if they caught repeat offenders) and transporting them away from our camp. They pretty much stayed busy for 3 full days!
The boys transporting more offenders They laughed and laughed all day long. I feel so blessed to have two boys that are best buds (for the most part Ü)

Vernal

Our 2nd stop was Vernal. We ate at the cutest cafe' They had a darling little gift shop, yummy food and jars and jars full of homemade suckers- Kolt was in heaven! We went to the Dionsaur Round up Rodeo! It was a really good Rodeo - Lots of top dollar cowboys were there- We got to see Billy Etbauer ride and the original One Armed Bandit.
The KOA we stayed at was really nice- We had full hook-ups so it was nice to have air conditioning! The boys had a blast on these bikes we rented they rode all over the campground. Chilling at the pool! (check out those farmer tans!) Kyle teaching Kolt how to play chess.

Flaming Gorge

Our last stop was Flaming Gorge! It was soooo hot this time- I will for sure be getting my reservations earlier next year for a site with power! We slept with all the windows open and no blankets- Shawn said I always want to go someplace warm well he delivered this time for sure! When we pulled up to our camping spot look who was it it! They stayed close by the whole time- there were a total of eight baby antelope in the camp ground. The boys trying to stay in the shade! They even talked dad into going for a swim. My catch of the day! Kolt even talked Shawn into bringing some fish home for Grandpa Steve and Uncle Wayne- It usually only works once a year- Shawn likes to catch and release all of them- Party pooper!

What the hay!

Kort, Kyle, Jackson, Kolt Wow getting pretty good- each bail weighs about 65 lbs!
All I can say is THANK HEAVEN FOR BOYS!!! Tonight we had to race mother nature to get all our hay bailed and put in the barn. I don't know how the old farmers use to do all this and gamble with the weather. I am so thankful we do not have to depend on farming to make a living!
