State Champions

The boys went to several state shoots this year in hopes to win the all around, well it paid off! Both Kyle and Kolt ended up State Champions in their age division. We were out of town but wished we could have made it to the UBAA banquet, maybe next year. Our clubs president Corey Barton and his wife Chris attended and brought home all their trophies. They were nice enough to buy them each an extra buckle so they could wear one on their quiver and have one to display. Shawn also took 2nd place in his division.

We had a great time this year in St. George Jeeping. The weather was BEAUTIFUL. We did 2 new trails and tried some of the obstacles on Milt's mile that they have not done. Shawn was pretty happy with the Jeeps and how they climbed.

Kolt Got His Learners Permit

We have another driver in the house! Kolt got his learners permit on his 1st try! The lady congratulated him and said most kids don't pass on their 1st try.

Vegas Warm Up Archery Tournament

So proud of these these guys. Our home town archery club Brigham Bowmen hosted a Vegas Warm up archery tournament. The boys stepped up to the plate and were able to bring home a 2nd place buckle in each of their divisions. Wayne took 1st place in the Sr. division. The boys were pretty tickled because they always tease Wayne and tell him they are his "coach". Kyle shot a 298/300 on Saturday and a 296/300 on Sunday. Kolt shot a 283/300 on Saturday and a 291/300 on Sunday. Shawn shot awesome on Saturday with a 298/300 and then accidentally shot the wrong target on Sunday. It just amazes me how often this happens in tournaments. We have lucked out until this weekend. Seems like every tournament we have been to someone there has shot the wrong target. It happens to the best of the best, nerves just get a hold of them and before you have even noticed it's too late. Luckily someone brought it to his attention before he put two arrows in it. I guess on a good note it was a perfect 10!!Shawn and the boys pretty much have a tournament every weekend until the World Archery festival in Las Vegas in February! They are up at the range pretty much everyday except Wednesday trying to get in as much practice as possible. We have always told them hard work pays off and it's so fun to sit back and watch it happen!
