This is what Shawn worked on last week- Sewing on the cantle- It's all done by hand and it takes long time. No wonder saddles cost so much!

Kolt has done such a good job studying for his OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) test. Every night for the past week he has sat down with me and went over 3 chapters! Well it all paid off- He passed with flying colors on Saturday he was the highest in his class with a 96%-(there were 12 kids in his class). Way to go Kolt! Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo

We went to the Rodeo up in Pocatello, Idaho over Easter weekend! We had lots of fun the Boys love it because their cousins come and stay in the same hotel as us. They pretty much have free reign because the hotel rooms and everything else are all pool side indoors so the parents can hang out and the kids can go and play, swim and do whatever. This rodeo is really a good one. The winner of each event gets a bunch of money and a free Dodge truck!

Cub Scouts

Today for Cub Scouts we had the boys color Easter eggs! It worked out pretty good, now I don't have to do them again for our family! Have you colored your Easter eggs yet? We did brown and white eggs. The brown eggs went more earth tone colors and the white ones were brighter.

Saddle Update

Shawn has been working really hard to get this saddle done. He has been doing up to Wellsville every week to work on it. So far so good. The brand on the back is our very own brand! It's amazing how much work goes into making a saddle- I would have never known.

It's a Pheasant feast!

Tonight I came home from work to find Shawn and the boys cooking up a feast! They had a deep fryer set up in the garage(boy I bet that's real clean) and were going to town. They had their own special recipe for breaded Pheasant. I go inside and it looks like a tornado hit. They had all kinds of stuff going- Kyle was at the stove flipping potatoes-newspaper and the mail everywhere- Shawn running back and forth getting more stuff to bread the Pheasant nuggets and Kolt out in the garage cooking them as fast as he could. I do have to give them credit for the team work It was going pretty smooth! They finally get it all done and sit down to eat and I hear Kolt say Dad what was that? Dad really what was it??? Shawn had spit out a BB. Yuck... apparently some get stuck in the meat and so you just have to spit them out as you go YUCK!!! and they wonder why I don't like to eat wild game with them. Hope they don't have to go in for a MRI anytime soon they are all probably full of lead!!
BOYS- I tell ya there is never a dull moment around here.
