Ice Fishing (again)

Shawn thought he was pretty cool because he caught the most fish! The boys did inform me that it was only by ONE fish!

The boys and Shawn headed out to one of their favorite ice fishing holes-Who would have know that they would come back all blistered and sunburned. Even the whites of their poor little eyes were red. Sunscreen to keep with the ice fishing gear was the first thing that went on my shopping list this week. I am not sure if the boys like to go because of all the fishing or the fun snowmobile rides!

Baby Shower

My new little nephew is almost here! My sister in law Erin and Shawn's brother Scott are about to be the proud parents of a baby BOY! He is expected to arrive sometime in March! I am so excited. The Youngest grandchild in the family is Kolt and he is 11 so it will be fun to enjoy a little one that I can spoil and not have lose any sleep over! We had a baby shower for them on Saturday and boy did they rake in the gifts. I'm not sure if they will even have to buy anything. I guess that's what you get when you invite 80 people???

Kolts trip to the Orthodontist

This week it was Kolt's turn to go to the orthodontist. He received his retainer that will widen the top of his mouth and pull his front teeth back. It was definitely a mouthful when she first put it in. He was gagging and I was wondering how in the world we were going to make this work. After a little bit of Advil and some egg drop soup from his favorite Chinese restaurant he was good as gold! He will go again in 4 weeks and they said they might put on a few braces at that time. Kolt thought it was pretty cool that they let him pick out his retainer colors. They told him he could pick anything he wanted so guess what he picked? Hunting Camo... The picture does not really show the true color. I think it looks more like a frog but he is happy and that's all that matters! It's amazing how far things have come since I had my braces. I am so happy we were referred to such a FANTASTIC Orthodontist Dr. Allred- He and his staff have been amazing Ü
