Christmas Memories
It's the little things this time of year that make me smile! One of my favorite memories of going to Shawn's grandpa and grandma Whites house at Christmas time was the mistletoe she always had hung in the doorway. When they passed away and we were asked if there was anything special we wanted, I asked for the mistletoe. We never did find it so I bought one for myself in their memory.

Thanksgiving In Moab
This year we were actually in Moab on Thanksgiving. It was my our turn to eat with my family but they decided to go out of town, so we had planned to cook a dutch oven Thanksgiving dinner at a camp ground but then found out it was going to be a little colder and the Loveland's that have a motorhome were no longer going. We figured it was just going to be too hard. Most of the restaurants were booked but we lucked out and got some reservations at the Moab Brewery. It was just "ok" I really think nothing can take the place of a home cooked Thanksgiving dinner! It was Wayne and Dawnelle's first time in their own jeep. They had a blast. Altogether there were 7 Jeeps.

Spots and Flakes-Datus
First tournament for the season went pretty well. Kyle came away in 2nd place where he got a buckle, some cash and a $200.00 gift certificate to Doinker ( a stabilizer co.) Kolt and Shawn both shot as well but did not place in the top. It was fun to watch the other shooters gather around Kyle wanting to take a look at his new bow. He is one of the first to get one and so far he is pretty impressed. After he worked out a few bugs he's been able to shoot a 300 on a regular basis!

1st League of the season- Summit Archery
Shawn and the boys started the 1st League of the season at the new archery shop in West Haven,Summit Archery. In fact, it's the 1st league to ever be held at the shop. It will run 6 weeks on Monday nights. It's been fun watching them get involved and host a fun league. It will have a decent cash payout for the lucky winners too. It's a 2 person team with about 20 teams all signed up and ready to roll.

Hunting Time
This year I was a little surprised how thoughtful Shawn was. I was surprised at work with a dozen beautiful roses. Then while he was back in town gathering a few things for the next trip, we stopped in at Smith and Edwards and I fell in love with this ring. I was kind hinting so he would have a idea or two for Christmas. To my surprise I didn't even have to wait. He bought it for me right then and there. I guess he does still have a little romance in him after all!

Girl's Trip to Disneyland!
Going to Disneyland with my sister was like a dream come true. We left the house at 4 am Thursday. Our flight left around 6:30 am and with the time difference and shuttle to our hotel we were off to the park about 9:30 am!!! We stayed in the park until around 11 p.m. We were able to do a lot of the big rides and really did not have too long of a wait. The 2nd day we went into California adventure, the temperature was 104 that day and boy could we feel it. The 3rd day we finished up a few rides in Disneyland and then went shopping in Downtown Disney. We ate lunch at the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. We went back to the room to cool off and freshen up and went back to people watch and go to a movie. We went to several of the parades and both of the night shows while we were there. Paint the night was amazing. All the floats were done with millions of lights. It's incredible what they do and the money that is spent to pull off such a neat production. The world of color in Disney California was good but nothing like Paint the night, it's one of a kind and the fireworks after were out of this world! We also went to several shows, Aladin was really good, they said it is the actual play they do on Broadway. It was a good way to escape the heat a bit. We also went to the sing a long Frozen. It was really cute and it was fun to watch all the little girls sing their little hearts out. You could tell they were in heaven! We stayed at The Anaheim Del Sol and it was really really nice, actually better than I thought it was going to be. We were able to sleep in a little Sunday and watch a little bit of T.V. then it was time for lunch and catch the shuttle to head back to the airport. While in the shuttle the radio came on and said there was a computer problem with Southwest (our airline) and they were having to process everyone by hand. The lines were clear outside. We just about had a heart attack when we seen how long the lines really were. Dawnelle was smart by telling me to pack light enough for just a carry on. I am so glad we did because we were able to walk right through with no problems. Our flight left about 3:30 pm and Wayne came and got us from the airport about 6:30pm Sunday evening. It was just the perfect amount of time. We did everything we wanted to do plus some and we could do it all at our own pace. I told her we need to do a girls trip again and it's her turn to plan it. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us. I will cherish these memories forever. Sisters are the best and I would be lost without her. I am so happy I can call her my bestfriend!
