Kolt was FINALLY able to tag this nice tom. He really had to work for it and ended up getting it the very last day of the hunt. I am always teasing them saying turkeys are harder for them to hunt then elk. They deny it but it sure feels like it to me!! Kyle was nice enough to snap this picture just before dark.

Cache Archers Hardware Shoot

The wind was a little challenging this year. I think next year we will have to go in the morning. Seems like the breeze always picks up in the afternoon. Despite all that Kolt walked away the winner for his age group and not only that he won the clay pigeon shoot off. He had to battle the final 3 clay pigeons against Kyle and lucky him he walked away with the WIN.

Friday Night Couples Leauge



Shawn and I had a great night at our Couples League Banquet. We both took 1st place, won a hand made knife, craftsman tools and a cute pink purse! We have so much fun and have made some really neat friendships along the way.

Cedar City Color Country Shootout

We had a fun weekend in Cedar city at the Color Country Shootout. They have some really neat custom made etched rocks they give to the winners. We were lucky enough to bring home 2 with us!  Kolt took 1st place and Shawn took 2nd Place in his division. Kyle shot in the money division and ended up placing 7th amongst the Pro's. They all shot so awesome. It was a 2 day tournament with the 1st day 3D and the 2nd day V formation 25 to 65 yards. As for me, I just shot the fun round.

Couples 3D Archery League @ Wilde Arrow

Split Mtn. Archers-Vernal UT 3D Tournament

 

Shawn and the boys headed out over the weekend and shot in 3 tournaments. So far so good, Kolt placed 1st place in the 2 that were held in Vernal and will get a paycheck from both. Kyle placed 3rd and will also bring home some cash. Shawn well sad to say he was 1 person out of the money! Still waiting for the results from Heber City.

Had a great day as a family at the shoot hosted by our hometown club! Kyle won the Men's Freestyle Bow hunter division and will bring home a little cash! He also won the blind shoot and got $52.50 from that. Not too shabby to bring home some cash on the weekends doing something you love and can do as a family! The rest of us just shot for fun and fun it was, Mommy had a good day and had so much fun teasing the rest while I was ahead. When it was all said and done Shawn beat me. Kolt did awesome and won the Grand prize at the raffle drawing. He brought home this awesome $300.00 sight for his bow. Great memories made here. A Family that shoots together stays together Ü
